Fascinating Facts About Bones

Practice using contractions correctly while you learn about bones.

From the October/November 2020 Issue

Directions: For each space below, use your own sheet of paper to write the contraction that is formed by combining the two words in parentheses. We’ve done the first two for you.

1. Bones are the hard, living pieces of tissue that make up a skeleton. You’re (You are) born with about 300 bones. Over time, some bones combine, so you’ll (you will) end up with around 200 of them.
