Play-Doh Inspection
For this activity, have your students become a mini scientist studying play-doh coprolites. Have your students work in groups and cut out fake “food” to go into the play-doh; for example corn, grass, fish, etc. Once they are done making their food have them insert the food into the play-doh and allow it to harden. After a day or two, randomly pass around a coprolite to each group for inspection. They will have to list what that animal/human’s diet was like in the past.
