Mango, Abuela, and Me is a story about a girl and her grandmother who comes to live with her—but doesn’t speak English. The bond that develops between them crosses language barriers, and you’ll be able to use the heartwarming story to touch on themes of communication, relationship building, understanding, and acceptance.
In this gripping historical fiction story about the sinking of the Titanic told in the form of a read-aloud play, students will be drawn into the plight of several survivors of the disaster.
